Chris Clark has made a place for himself as a trombonist, educator, and as an audio producer and engineer.  Chris’ love of music is shared through highly personal recording projects made for a growing and diverse list of clients (Clark Media Productions, LLC) and as a member of "The President's Own" U.S. Marine Band.  I believe the future for classical musicians, and independent artists is bright, and I truly enjoy being a facilitator in helping people bring to life their most personal creations.  You may subscribe to my email list here, or find me at FacebookYouTube, and through my blog.

Educated at the Curtis Institute of Music (BM), the Juilliard School (MM), Catholic University of America (DMA), and the Berklee College of Music (Audio Production), I have performed in just about every setting imaginable.  Whether it's performing traditional repertoire of the orchestral world, brand new pieces for chamber ensemble, or commissioning composers with Valor Brass, I have experienced just about every scenario in which a contemporary trombonist might find themselves performing.  Memorable experiences include performances with Sir Simon Rattle, James Levine, Kurt Masur, Wolfgang Sawallisch, Otto Werner-Mueller, Leonard Slatkin, John Williams, Zubin Mehta, David Zinman, Alan Gilbert, Graeme Jenkins, Frederick Fennell, Larry Rachleff, John Paynter, William Revelli, Ben Zander, Betty Buckley, Rita Moreno, Joe Williams, Carol Channing, Nell Carter, and Kelly Clarkson.  I have toured almost every state of the US as a member of "The President's Own" U.S. Marine Band, as well as performed on many of the band's numerous recordings.

In 2014, I discovered a passion for audio recording, and in 2017 I enrolled as a student in The Berklee College of Music's audio production curriculum.  I have completed a number of audio and video recording projects since 2014, and I thoroughly enjoy bringing my musical ear and skills to help others bring their seed of an idea to full fruition.

In 2004, I was one of 5 close friends to form Valor Brass, a brass quintet dedicated to furthering the art of brass chamber music.  Valor Brass commissions new works from composers and arrangers, and recently released our first full length album, Inaugural.

In 2020, I’m busy facilitating artists recording projects, both in socially distanced sessions, and remotely. I am continuing to make a trail educating the new generation via online coaching and lessons. Most of all, I have a lot of hope for the future. Times are tough, unimaginably tough, for some people. I believe that everyone in the music industry is going to be needed in the months and years to come!
